Recycling to Support Cincinnati Habitat Trash to Cash is an established collection and processing program for the recycling of laser, inkjet and toner cartridges and cellular phones. They teamed up with Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity and donate a percentage of the proceeds from each recycled item to support the Habitat mission. Trash to Cash accepts most major brand cartridges and phones. There is no time or expense on your part. Simply contact Trash to Cash and tell them you want to participate in the recycling program on behalf of Cincinnati Habitat. They will determine the best way to get your items based on the number of cartridges or phones you expect to recycle in a month. Cincinnati Habitat will then receive a check based on all items recycled on its behalf. Trash to Cash will keep a record of your contribution and will send a year-end statement containing information for the IRS detailing the value of the cartridges you or your company donated. If you would prefer, you can also drop your items off at the Cincinnati Habitat office to be recycled with our collection of cartridges and phones. However, if you use this approach, please be aware that you will not receive a statement from Trash to Cash for tax purposes.
